Where we hire rotating equipment technicians
Questions applicants ask
Do I need experience?
Yes, and more than for a fitter: five or more years specifically on rotating equipment. This is a specialist role, not an entry role.
Which certificates do I need?
A mechanical diploma plus laser-alignment training is the usual profile. CAT I/II vibration certificates put a candidate at the front of the queue.
Iqama, transfer and visa
Technicians with a transferable Iqama are placed first. We also recruit specialists from abroad through licensed agencies, with visa and transfer paid by AKFAL.
Hours and shifts
Workshop days between turnarounds; extended shifts during turnarounds with paid overtime. Some call-out work for breakdowns.
How is salary decided?
Specialist pay is set individually from experience and certificates and written into the offer. We do not publish figures.
