About the job
Between a purchase order and a delivery at the plant gate sit a dozen things that can slip: a factory running late, a container stuck at the port, a missing certificate, a truck without the right permit. The logistics and expediting coordinator owns that gap. They chase manufacturers for production and shipping dates, work with freight forwarders and customs brokers on import clearance, arrange local transport from AKFAL's fleet and confirm to the client and the sales engineer exactly when the goods will arrive.
This job sits in the Industrial Trading — Supply division.
What you will do
- Expedite open purchase orders with manufacturers and distributors; obtain and verify production and shipping dates
- Coordinate sea, air and road freight with forwarders; prepare and check shipping documents and certificates
- Work with customs brokers on import clearance, SABER/SASO conformity and duty paperwork
- Schedule local delivery with AKFAL's transport fleet and the client's gate-pass requirements
- Keep delivery status current in the ERP and report weekly on late items
What we look for
- 3+ years in logistics, expediting or import coordination for industrial goods in the Gulf
- Familiar with Incoterms, shipping documents and Saudi import requirements (SABER, SASO, FASAH)
- Organised and persistent — the job is following up until the item is on site
- Strong written English; Arabic an advantage for customs and transport
- Confident with Excel and an ERP or tracking system
Certificates that help
- Diploma in logistics or supply chain
- Training in Incoterms / international freight, an advantage
- Familiarity with SABER / SASO conformity procedures
- Saudi driving licence, an advantage

Do I need experience?
Yes — three or more years coordinating shipments of industrial goods, ideally with Saudi import experience.
Which certificates do I need?
A logistics diploma is expected; freight and Incoterms training helps. We test with a real shipment scenario.
Iqama, transfer and visa
Candidates inside Saudi Arabia with a transferable Iqama are placed first. Saudi nationals are especially welcome.
Hours and shifts
Office hours in Jubail, with follow-up across time zones for overseas suppliers and occasional port or site visits.
