This page is for Scaffolder work at Ras Al Khair. The same trade is hired at other locations too — see below.
About the job
Scaffolders are among the first crews on every shutdown and the last to leave. AKFAL scaffolders erect, modify and dismantle tube-and-coupler and system scaffolds to the client's standard, tag them, and inspect them daily under a scaffold supervisor. Speed matters, but a green tag on an unsafe platform is the one thing that ends a contract.
What you will do
- Erect, alter and dismantle scaffolds to the design and the site standard
- Inspect and tag scaffolds; keep the scaffold register
- Handle and store tubes, boards, couplers and system components
- Work at height with full fall protection at all times
- Follow permit and exclusion-zone rules around live plant
What we look for
- 2 years or more scaffolding on industrial sites
- Scaffolder certificate (level II or III); supervisor certificate for lead roles
- Physically fit for height and heavy handling
- Understands scaffold tagging and inspection
- Basic English or Arabic for tags and permits
Certificates that help
- Scaffolder Level II / III certificate
- Scaffold supervisor / inspector certificate for lead roles
- Aramco scaffold certification, if held
- Work-at-height and harness training
