About the job
Every item AKFAL supplies is accepted or rejected by the client's QA department on two things: does the item match the specification, and does the paperwork prove it. The material receiving inspector makes sure both are true before the goods leave AKFAL. They check dimensions, markings, ratings and material grade against the PO and the data sheet, verify heat numbers against the mill certificates, witness third-party inspection when the client requires it, and assemble the documentation package that travels with the consignment.
What you will do
- Inspect incoming pipe, fittings, flanges, valves, instruments and electrical items against PO, data sheet and standard
- Verify markings and heat numbers against MTC (EN 10204 3.1), certificates of conformity and test reports
- Perform dimensional and visual checks with calibrated instruments; record results on inspection reports
- Coordinate third-party inspection and client witness points; raise non-conformance reports
- Compile the final documentation package for each delivery
What we look for
- 3+ years in receiving or material inspection of piping, valves or electrical items for oil, gas or petrochemical projects
- Able to read ASME, API and IEC standards and client specifications
- Competent with calipers, gauges and hardness or PMI equipment
- Understands MTC review and heat-number traceability
- Written English for inspection reports
Certificates that help
- Diploma in mechanical or quality engineering
- CSWIP or AWS inspection certificate, an advantage
- PMI / hardness testing training, an advantage
- ISO 9001 internal auditor training, an advantage
Working in Jafurah
The Jafurah gas field, south-east of Al-Ahsa, is being developed in phases by Saudi Aramco with international EPC contractors. It is a construction environment rather than a running plant: gas processing trains, pipelines, compression and utilities being built at the same time, which means sustained demand for welders, pipe fitters, riggers, scaffolders, electricians and certified operators over several years.

Do I need experience?
Yes — three or more years inspecting industrial materials against specifications and certificates. Purely production QC experience needs to include certificate review.
Which certificates do I need?
A mechanical or quality diploma is expected. Inspection certificates such as CSWIP or AWS help but are not mandatory for receiving inspection.
Iqama, transfer and visa
Candidates inside Saudi Arabia with a transferable Iqama are placed first; we also recruit from abroad through licensed agencies.
Hours and shifts
Regular day shift at the Jubail warehouse and yard, with visits to supplier and third-party inspection facilities.
